Prionics will now offer the PrioGENIZER® homogenization system to a wider market for application to a variety of animal and plant materials. Until recently, Prionics range of homogenization devices was available only for use with the Prionics®-Check TSE tests. Due to popular demand for this practical and economical system, the PrioGENIZER® will be now available for a broader range of applications in areas such as the food and agricultural sectors.
The PrioGENIZER® system is a very convenient system for blending of tissue samples and plant materials. This fast system can homogenize up to 480 samples per hour. The PrioGENIZER® is designed to be used with the PrioCLIP® homogenization containers, which have an ergonomic shape enabling single-handed opening and closing of the lid. Up to eight sample containers are placed in a rack and are homogenized simultaneously. To complement the PrioGENIZER®, Prionics has developed accessories for the removal and transport of homogenized samples. The instrument has a user-friendly interface, which allows easy operation and setting of 9 individual programs. The system is certified with a CE mark for the European market and a UL mark for the US market.
PrioGENIZER® now available for other applications
Due to the effectiveness of the PrioGENIZER® Prionics has received repeated requests from the market to make this instrument available for other applications. In response, Prionics will now offer the PrioGENIZER® system for use in other areas such as the food industry, agricultural laboratories and cell tissue research.
Comprehensive homogenization systems
In related news, Prionics will again offer its customers the homogenization systems of Consul AR SA. Consul’s FASTH, MediFASTH, FASTH2 and Prypcons TSE homogenization systems have been validated for use with the Prionics®-Check TSE tests. Due to an earlier dispute with Consul, these instruments have not been available through Prionics for some time. However, Prionics has recently reached an agreement with Consul, enabling them to resume the distribution of the Consul homogenization devices.
