Prionics' philosophy is to keep in close contact with our customers and offer them superior service. To this end Prionics has successfully founded an affiliate company in Germany, Prionics Deutschland GmbH, covering both the German and the Austrian markets.

Prionics Deutschland started its sales and distribution activities on January 1st 2006, serving German and Austrian customers with all Prionics products. By the first quarter of 2006 the new company had already succeeded in winning a tender for the supply of five laboratories in Nordrhein Westfahlen and successfully introduced the new Prionics®-Check PrioSTRIP to German Laboratories.

Competent support
The establishment of a contact network with decision-makers and opinion leaders in the farm animal diagnostics field, and the offering of tailored services for the specific needs of the German and Austrian laboratories, is the goal of Dr. Anthony Harris, Managing Director of Prionics Deutschland. The customers value the intensive and competent support. "We appreciate the direct contact with Prionics' representatives", says Dr. Marion Mappes, Managing Director of IN VITRO BIOTEC (IVB). "Through the competent support of the Prionics team we succeeded in implementing the PrioSTRIP® in only one week", explains Mappes. IN VITRO BIOTEC was the first German laboratory to introduce the PrioSTRIP®.

Strengthening of distribution network
Until February 2006, Prionics' products had been supplied in Germany through Roche Diagnostics. With Prionics' strategic expansion in the farm animal diagnostics field, Prionics and Roche decided by mutual consent that the distribution agreement will not be renewed. As a result Prionics strengthened its international distribution network by founding affiliates in Germany and in North and South America, as well as collaborating with local distributors specialized in farm animal diagnostics.
