Düsseldorf, the bustling Rhine metropolis in the heart of Europe, has lot to offer residents and visitors alike. One main event is the "Prion 2005" conference, held on October 19th till 21st.
Initiated by the German TSE Research Platform and the European Network of Excellence NeuroPrion, here renowned Prion experts will discuss the latest scientific findings in the field. Among the presented topics are: the PrP structure and molecular determinants of infectivity as well as new findings on prion strains and also information on diagnosis and therapy of TSEs. Prionics, the world leader in prion diagnostics, is represented in the scientific program with two ground breaking contributions: one shows new findings on BSE infectivity in muscle tissue the other presents the latest progress in the development of new TSE live tests.
As a sponsor of the conference Prionics offers a range of activities. On the morning of October 20th we will help our visitors wake up at the Breakfast Meeting. Indulged by coffee and croissants, our guests will not only have the chance to learn more about Prionics' latest products and progress in the development of our blood tests for TSEs but also profit first hand from the interaction with our competent BSE experts.
Additionally visitors at our booth will have the chance to talk to Prionics' experienced scientists and product specialists. Of course our guests won't miss the fun factor! With a participation in the Prionics contest they can win an attractive portable DVD player, an exclusive leather writing case especially designed for Prionics by Rossi Design Ltd., Switzerland, or a Victorinox Swiss Memorystick.
