Welcome to our 2011 holiday issue of eScope, Prionics international newsletter.

In this issue we report on the new PrioPRESTO software. Prionics has tailor-made this user-friendly software for use with its PrioCHECK^® ELISAs. Read on to see how this software facilitates read-out and data interpretation of the PrioCHECK^® tests.

Another important new product developed by Prionics is the GenoTube Livestock. This product from the forensiX product line is an easy to use and non-invasive tool for obtaining DNA and RNA samples from animals.

Although the incidence of BSE is tailing off, new cases of BSE do occur with certain regularity. In spring this year two BSE cases were reported in Switzerland. Now a paper has been published suggesting that these BSE cases may represent a new strain. Read on for further details.
